To ensure you can fully enjoy the race weekend without any concerns and stay focused on the track action, we’ve put together some helpful tips for you.
Rest assured, you won't go hungry during the race weekend. Nearly every grandstand is equipped with a food area offering a variety of refreshments. There are plenty of options available for purchasing food and drinks, including both permanent bars and newly introduced food trucks, each presenting its own unique culinary style. While not every stand will have the entire selection of food options available around the circuit due to logistical reasons, each stand will still offer a wide range of choices to suit different preferences.
Before heading to the circuit, ensure you have all the essential information saved on your phone, such as tickets, maps, and details about your favourite riders. On Sundays, especially, there’s a chance that the network at the Mandalika International Street Circuit could become overloaded, making it difficult to access any online data. Keep in mind that you might not be able to contact your friends. If you plan to meet up with anyone on Sunday, be sure to agree on a specific time and location in advance, just like in the days before mobile phones were commonplace.
Keep in mind that motorsport events are quite loud. Although the noise levels are manageable in the regular grandstands, it's a good idea to wear earplugs if you're sitting closer to the track. If you're attending with children, make sure they have headphones on to protect their hearing.
In late September, Mandalika, the location of the MotoGP race, typically enjoys warm, tropical weather. This period falls within the dry season, which generally runs from May to October. Daytime temperatures are usually warm, averaging between 26 and 30 degrees Celsius (79 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit). At night, it tends to be a bit cooler, with temperatures often falling to around 21 to 24 degrees Celsius (70 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit). As is common in tropical climates, humidity levels are moderate to high, typically ranging from 70% to 80%.
If you want up-to-date weather information, we recommend using the Windy app.
